Zapproved is looking for the right person to join our dynamic company. Founded in February 2008, Zapproved is a Portland, Oregon- based Software-as-a-Service company, with a mission to deliver intuitive online tools that manage accountability in business communications. You will be working on a newly launched product, LegalHoldPro.com, for managing litigation hold notification and compliance. We have many new features (and other product ideas) and are looking for the right person to join us.

Our development philosophy is to build intuitive applications that provide useful solutions to specific problems. We love the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) architecture because it allows us to provide our products to both large and small companies without in-house IT training and support. We believe that our customers drive our product definition. We build our products using an agile development approach.

Candidates for this position need to be self-starters, capable of working hard within a small team to achieve great results. Activities will span the full software lifecycle - vision and usage analysis, architecture definition, project planning, design and development, testing, implementation, support and enhancements. High attention to detail, strong communications skills, and the ability to plan, commit and deliver is critical.

We have mutliple engineering roles currently available. Our architecture is AJAX based: Javascript UI, web services in .NET/C# with a SQL Server db. Experience with these technologies, along with HTML/CSS and cross-browser technologies is required.

To focus on UI development, we're looking for:

• 4+ years experience developing web applications
• 2+ years experience developing JavaScript applications
• 1+ years experience with at least one major JavaScript AJAX library, such as jQuery, YUI or ExtJS.

To focus on server side development, we're looking for:

• 3+ years experience developing .NET C# applications
• 3+ years experience developing SQL Server applications - schema design, stored procedures
• 2+ years developing web services

In addition to expertise in the above technologies, we're also looking for experience participating in or leading successful teams in the design, development and deployment of mission critical software projects, including planning and executing through the development cycle to deliver a quality product on time.
